Google Assistant Interface Updated With Rounded Cards & White Background

A while back Google updated it's search user interface on mobile with rounded corners. Google is now extending a similar user interface with rounded corners to Assistant.

As in the case of the updated search UI, Google has changed the background colour herein too. You will be able to make out from the above comparison screenshots that the background is now white instead of light gray.

The buttons and card results now have curved edges. The buttons also have a shadow effect to them.

This appears to be rolling out to everyone. I got this update earlier today (in India) and when I checked with my teammates (who reside in different countries), they confirmed the update too. Since this is a server side update, you will get this updated user interface only when Google rolls it out for your device. To ensure you get this update at the earliest, make sure you are using the latest version of the Google app. You can check for updates to the Google app, if any, from the Play Store or grab the APK file of the latest version from here.
