iPhone X's Facial Recognition May/May Not Be Able To Tell Apart Twins
Have you got an evil twin? If yes, then you might want to take a note of this. In some cases, the facial recognition on the iPhone X can easily be bypassed by a monozygotic twin (usually meaning identical twins).
Because of its full-screen display, the iPhone X ditched Apple's Touch ID in favour of facial recognition. One of the mulling questions since the announcement of the iPhone X has been the efficiency of Face ID - whether it will be able to distinguish between twins or a person and their photograph. While the iPhone X can't be fooled by a photograph, it can seemingly by a twin.
Test by Mashable
Mashable brought in two sets of identical twins to test out the reliability of the facial recognition and both the pairs of twins were able to get into the iPhone which was locked using the face of their sibling. On the other side of things, a pair of monozygotic twins put to test by Business Insider were not able to unlock each other's iPhone X. I can't say much at this point except that the facial recognition in case of twins is much of a gimmick. So if you happen to have an identical twin, you might want to look into this before buying the new iPhone.

Apple recently opened the iPhone X for pre-orders and if you happened to be one of the first in line to book the iPhone X, you could be getting it as early as Friday. Other pre-orders are expected to be shipped in five to six weeks.
