Jio effect: Airtel's Rs. 448 tariff plan offers unlimited voice calls, 1GB data per day for 70 days
Leading telecom operator Airtel has come out with a new prepaid plan to take on Reliance Jio's Rs. 399 tariff plan.
Airtel's new Rs. 444 plan offers unlimited voice calls including local and national roaming calls. However, voice calls are capped at 300 minutes per days and 1200 minutes per week. Users will also get 1GB data per day and 100 SMS per day. The validity of the plan is for 70 days. One of the advantage of this plan is that it can be availed by non 4G handset users as well.
For comparison, Reliance Jio's Rs. 399 plan gives its users unlimited voice calls without any limit 1GB data per day, whose speed will be reduced to 64kbps post exhaustion of the daily limit and unlimited. The plan is valid for 70 days, and also gives free access to Jio apps such as JioCinema, JioTV, JioMusic and more.
As you can see both plans have similar benefits, but Airtel's plan is slightly costlier and have some limits. However, Airtel has some bonuses for its customers like high 4G speed, and the availability of the plan for non 4G handset users as well.
Do note that Airtel's Rs. 444 plan is available for select customers. You can check for the plan by heading over to My Airtel app. Moreover, Airtel is also notifying users about this offer via SMS as well.
