Samsung rolls out Android Nougat for Galaxy C9 Pro

Samsung has started rolling out the much-awaited Android 7.1.1 update for the Galaxy C9 Pro in India. To remind you the Galaxy C9 Pro was Samsung's first smartphone to boast 6GB RAM, and it shipped with Android Marshmallow.

The Nougat update for Galaxy C9 Pro weighs in at just over 1400MB in size. Besides native Nougat features such as multi-window support, notifications enhancements, quick setting improvements and more, the update also includes Samsung specific tweaks included in Experience 8.5 user interface. There's also Samsung Cloud integration, a revamped Device Manager application, Samsung Pass and shutter button zooming for the Camera client.

The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) in phases, so it can take up to a week for it to reach your Galaxy C9 Pro. If you've not been notified yet, head over to Settings>About Device then tap Download Updates Manually.

As a reminder the Galaxy C9 Pro features 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 653 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 16MP f/1.9 front and rear cameras, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM slots, fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery.

It was launched in India earlier this year in January and is currently up for grabs at Rs. 29,990 in Black and Gold colors from Samsung e-Store, major e-commerce portals and offline on retail stores across the country.
