Samsung SM-J337 spotted on GFXBench, could be Galaxy J3 (2018)
Samsung seems to be working on the 2018 Galaxy J line up, which is aimed at the budget market. A Galaxy J phone with model number SM-J337 which is said to be the Galaxy J3 (2018) has run through GFXBench revealing key specs.
As per the listing, the 2018 edition of Galaxy J3 will get minor upgrade over the 2017 model. According to GFXBench, the Galaxy J3 2018 will feature 5-inch HD display, and powered by an quad-core Exynos chip clocked at 1.5GHz, paired with a Mali G71 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
It will ship with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and like the 2017 model get dedicated rear and selfie flash. Likewise, we can also expect dedicated slots for microSD card and dual-SIMs. The battery capacity was not revealed, but the listing does mention the phone will boot Android 7.1.1. Also it now known, whether this is model is regular or some other variant.
As a reminder, the Galaxy J3 (2017) had almost similar specs, but pakced 1.4GHz Exynos 7570 processor, 13MP main camera and 2400mAh battery. That said, the Galaxy J3 (2018)'s specs are identical to that of Galaxy J3 Pro which was launched earlier this year in India running Android Lollipop. It packed 2600mAh battery.
As of now it is not known, when Samsung will make the Galaxy J (2018) series official.
