Vodafone India outs FRC555 tariff plan with unlimited calls, 1GB data per day for 84 days

Earlier this month, Idea Cellular rolled out FRC (first recharge plan) for Rs. 555 in select circles, and now Vodafone India, is following suit. The telecom operator which is in the process of merging with Idea has also launched FRC 555 plan for new customers. Currently the plan is available in Karnataka, and there is no word, if it will be made available in other circles.

As for the benefits, the Vodafone FRC 555 gives customer 1GB of data per day for 84 days, offering a total of 84GB data. However, once you exhaust the daily FUP of 1GB, customers will be charged at 50 paise per MB.

For the same period of 84 days, customers will also get unlimited voice calls including national roaming calls. Again there are restriction. Voice calls are limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Do note that the limit includes national roaming calls as well. Post exhaustion, customers will be charges at one paise per second for voice calls.

Lastly, the plan also includes 100 SMS per day. Post exhaustion, each local SMS will be charged at Rs. 1 and STD SMS at Rs. 1.5.

Do note that, Vodafone's FRC555 is applicable for only new customers who are looking to join Vodafone's network through Mobile Number Portability (MNP) or as a new customer. The  tariff plan is valid on all 2G, 3G and 4G handsets.
