Xiaomi Mi A1 Is Getting The November Security Patch
Owning an Android One device has many advantages to it. Firstly, the vanilla version of Android makes the software experience a delight. Secondly, monthly security patches make sure that the device is kept up-to-date against security threats. The Mi A1 is Xiaomi's first venture into Android One. The A1 was launched with the September security patch and since then the device has been updated multiple times with security patches for each following month. The Mi A1 is now getting the November security patch.
To remind you, the November security patches were divided into three levels - November 1, November 5 and November 6. The November 5 patch consists of fixes for all the vulnerabilities addressed in the November 1 patch along with some additional fixes. Similarly, the November 6 patch addresses all the vulnerabilities as the other two patches along with some more fixes. The November 6 patch will hence secure an Android device the most. Android One, Nexus and Pixel devices usually get the security patch which has the most number of fixes. Last month the Mi A1 got the October 1 security patch (which was less secure as compared to October 5 patch). This time around the A1 is getting the November 6 patch.
The update weighs 467MB and has the build number N2G47H.7.11.18. If you have a Mi A1, you will be getting a notification about the update soon.
