Airtel rolls out Rs. 157 and Rs. 49 data packs for prepaid customers
A new month has begun, so it is a time when various telecom operator come out with new tariff plans or revise existing ones to attract customers. Airtel has fired the first shot, and we can expect rival operators to come out with counter plans.
The leading telecom operator has launched Rs. 157 and Rs. 49 data plans for prepaid customers. Note that both plans offer only data benefits, and not voice calls or free SMS.
The Rs. 157 plan recharge pack gives prepaid users 3GB data for 27 days. This offer is listed under "Special Offers for You" section in My Airtel app, and is available in a number of regions such as Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka and Delhi.
Having said that, the Rs. 157 plan appears to be available only to select customers. For regular customers there are open market plans of the same denomination which offer 2GB 3G/4G data for five days.
The Rs. 49 prepaid plan, on the other hand, has been designed for instant usage. It offers 1GB 2G/3G/4G mobile data with a validity of one day. This plan is also listed under the 'Special offers for you' segment on the MyAirtel app.
If you're looking for the best Airtel plan, there is Rs. 349 combo plan, which offers 1.5GB data per day for 28 days, bundled with unlimited voice calls including outgoing calls and 100 SMS per day.
