Asus rolls out ZenUI 4.0 for ZenFone 4 Max
Asus ZenFone 4 Max is finally getting the latest ZenUI version. To remind you the ZenFone 4 Max was the first member of ZenFone 4 line up and was released in July this year with ZenUI 3.0. A month later the company launched other members including ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro among others with the latest ZenUI 4.0. So ZenFone 4 Max missed out on the new version of the UI.
However, now Asus has rolled out an over-the-air update to ZenFone 4 Max that brings ZenUI 4.0. This means the interface will look cleaner and lighter and there are few numbers of pre-installed apps (trimming down the 35 pre-installed apps on previous ZenUI to just 13 apps). Along with ZenUI 4.0, the update also brings support for VoLTE and VoWiFi and improves the double tap to sleek/wake feature.
Here's the full changelog:
ZenUI update are not related to Android version, so the phone is still running Android 7.1.1. Asus says it will take about a week for system to complete the autopush, so if you have not yet received the update, go to 【Setting】->【About】->【System Update】to update manually.
- Upgrade system user interfance to ZenUI 4.0
- Enable CHT/FET/TST VoLTE & FET VoWIFI function
- Improve double tap to sleep/wake feature
As for the Oreo update, Asus has promised to release it to all ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 4 device by the second half of 2018.
