HTC U11 Life In The US Are Now Being Updated To Oreo 8.0

HTC updated the unlocked models of the U11 to Oreo a few days back and now the Taiwanese company is updating the U11 Life to Android 8.0. The U11 Life was announced in two variants. The US version of the phone came with HTC's SenseUI loaded on top of Nougat and the global (non-US) variant was announced as an Android One device with Oreo on board. The latter model being an Android One device is powered by stock Android while the former variant runs HTC's customized Android skin. This update upgrades the HTC U11 Life in the United States to Oreo.

Apart from all the Oreo goodies, this update also comprises of the November security patch. The update size is 1.28GB and has the build number 2.31.617.2.

As always, this update is being rolled out via OTA in batches. The update will be extended to a small number of users today, followed by an increasing number of users each day until the update has been made available to everyone. If you own a HTC U11 Life in the US, you can expect an update notification to show up soon.
