LG V30 & V30+ Start Getting Android 8.0 Oreo In South Korea

LG V30 owners are starting to see Android Oreo update on their devices. LG started testing Android 8.0 for the V30 last month and now the stable build of Oreo is being rolled out. The update is currently being rolled out only in South Korea.

Android Oreo includes a number of new features such as picture-in-picture mode, support for AutoFill APIs, new emojis, notification dots and enhancements to performance and battery life. In addition to all the Oreo goodies, LG has also included some improvements to LDAC, which according to LG should minimize sound loss from the source.

The update is being rolled out via OTA in South Korea. The OTA update comes in a package of 1412MB. You can either wait for the OTA notification to reach your device or upgrade your V30 manually with the help of a PC. You will have to connect your V30 to a PC and use the LG Bridge program to perform the upgrade.
