New Open Beta For OnePlus 3/3T Brings November Security Patch, aptX Support, Fixes For Slow Charging & More
OnePlus recently updated it's yesteryear flagship devices of OnePlus 3 and 3T to Oreo. OnePlus has already confirmed that Oreo will be the last major Android update for the two devices. Hence after the release of the stable Oreo update, several OnePlus 3/3T owners started doubting whether the updates for the two devices will slow down. Fortunately that doesn't appear to be the case. OnePlus is still very much committed to its last year devices and is still working on squashing bugs along with the addition of new features. The Chinese smartphone company has now released a new open beta build for the OnePlus 3 and 3T.
The changes worth noting here are the inclusion of support for aptX/aptX HD, November security patch, fixes for slow charging and the ability to view photos captured in different locations on a photo map. aptX support should translate into better audio output for Bluetooth headsets. aptX and aptX can be toggled in this Open Beta from under Settings > Developer options. If 'Developer options' aren't visible in the Settings menu, they can be enabled by going to Settings > About phone and tapping on the build number seven times simultaneously. aptX codec should get enabled automatically when Bluetooth headsets are connected.
The complete changelog is given below.
