Nokia 2 Manages To Hold It's Shape In JerryRigEverything's Durability Test
JerryRigEverything has performed his set of durability tests - which include scratching, burning and bending - on all the Android powered Nokia devices released this year. The latest Nokia entrant to JerryRigEverything's torture chamber is the Nokia 2.
The Gorilla Glass protected display starts scratching at a level six, which in fact is in par with flagship devices like the Galaxy Note 8, Pixel 2/XL and the iPhone X. JerryRigEveything warns that the vinyl cloth in the earpiece and the metal made letters of 'NOKIA' on the back may fall out after using the device for an year or two.
The back of the Nokia 2 is made of plastic while the edges and the buttons are of metal. In the burn test, the Nokia 2's display lasted five seconds before the pixels on the screen turned black. Since the Nokia 2 has an LCD screen, the pixels did recover after being blacked out.
During the bend test, the Nokia 2 developed a permanent kink when it was bent from either the front or the back side, but the phone did not break and managed to hold itself in one piece. It's worth mentioning here that none of the Nokia devices released this year have failed JerryRigEverything's durability tests.
