OnePlus releases official Android Oreo for OnePlus 5
OnePlus 5 owners are getting a nice Christmas treat. OnePlus has started rolling out Oreo for the OnePlus 5. To remind you, OnePlus kicked off Oreo beta testing for OnePlus 5 almost a month ago, and now just a day before Christmas, the official Android Oreo based OxygenOS 5.0 is out.
The update brings such features parallel apps, picture-in-picture mode, auto-fill, smart text selection, quick settings design, notification dots and more. OnePlus has tweaked some of its apps such as launcher, Camera, Gallery, Calculation and Clock.
Additionally it brings a new "Adaptive model" screen calibration, as well as optimizations for WiFi and battery saver. Lastly, the update includes Android security patch for December.
Here's the changelog of Android Oreo based OxygenOS 5.0 for OnePlus 5
The update weighs at around 1.5GB in size and is rolling out over-the-air.
