OxygenOS 4.7.6 For OnePlus 5T Brings Improvements To Camera, Face Unlock, December Security Patch & More
OnePlus may not be supporting its devices with Project Treble but that hasn't stopped the Chinese company to roll out updates to its devices on a regular basis. The OnePlus 5T is now getting a new update in the form of OxygenOS 4.7.6.
This update primarily includes improvements for the camera and face unlock. The security patch has also been bumped up to December. OnePlus says that this update will improve the clarity of selfies in low light. For face unlock, OnePlus has introduced assistive lighting which I'm guessing will make the screen of the phone bright enough so that the light emitted by the phone's display can be used to recognise the face properly. The full changelog is given below.
Camera
- Stability improvements
- Clarity improvements for selfie in low light
- Performance improvements for 3rd party camera apps
- Added assistive lighting for face unlock
- Improvements for expanded screenshot
- Improvements for Wi-Fi display
- Updated Android security patch to December
The update comes in a package of 86MB. The build number is ONEPLUS A5010_43_171225. You can either wait for the OTA notification to show up or use OperaVPN and set the country to as Canada. Using OperaVPN, you can get the update notification instantly. If you wish to sideload the update via ADB, you can refer to the OTA and full ROM ZIPs given below.
