OxygenOS Open Beta 28 and 19 out for OnePlus 3 & 3T

Last month OnePlus rolled out official Android Oreo based OxygenOS 5.0 for the OnePlus 3 & 3T. However, for those who are part of beta program, OnePlus has a new build for you to play with.

The OxygenOS Open Beta 28 for OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 19 for the OnePlus 3T brings optimization for launcher, Wireless hotspot management, WiFi performance & security and battery usage statistics. It also includes fix for slow charging issues and UI fixes for Quick settings. It also updates OnePlus Gallery and contacts app, and adds support for aptX/aptX HD.

OnePlus says the build has a issue, which is, the long press on home screen doesn't work. If you experience this issue, restart the phone for the function to work properly.

As usual if your OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T is already running Open Beta software, you will receive the new build as an over-the-air update. Other will have to download the full ROM and flash it manually. You can refer the flashing process here (Link).

In related news, OnePlus last week started beta testing Oreo for the OnePlus 5. The test for OnePlus 5T will begin later this year, while the final roll out will take place sometime in Q1 2018.
