Qualcomm Confirms Snapdragon 845, Specifications Yet To Be Detailed

Qualcomm, today in an event, announced that its next generation processor for flagship devices will be called the Snapdragon 845. As showcased in the video above, the successor to the Snapdragon 835 is expected to have better security, enhanced image processing speeds, support for gigabit networks, and improved configuration for better performance and battery life.

We don't have any information about the specifications of the processor right now, but Qualcomm will be unveiling the SD845 later today at its Snapdragon Developer Conference which is taking place in Hawaii. Apart from confirming the name of the processor, Qualcomm announced that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will feature the SD845.

The Snapdragon 845 is also expected to be seen in Windows 10 laptops alongside top of the line Android smartphones. The Snapdragon 835 was built on 10nm manufacturing process and Qualcomm is believed to be following the same for the upcoming SD845.
