Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) render and specs surface
Samsung's upcoming budget smartphone, the Galaxy J2 (2018)'s press renders and specifications have leaked online courtesy of reliable tipster Roland Quandt.
Speaking of the design first, the Galaxy J2 (2018) will have plastic back panel that's removable. At the back the primary camera and LED flash unit sits inside a pill shaped module, while the speaker is placed next to it. On the front the phone has the usual home button placed below the screen and is flanked by capacitive navigation keys. The front camera has a dedicated flash unit as well.
Coming to the specs, the Galaxy J2 2018 is said to come with 5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and 2600mAh battery.
It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and support 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and have dedicated slots for dual-SIM and microSD card.
According to Roland, Russia will be among the first market to gett the Galaxy J2 (2018) and will carry a price tag of 8000 Rubles ($136 | Rs. 9,000). It will come in Gold and Black hues, and will release in other markets including India.
