Moto G4 Plus Is Now Getting The December 2017 Security Patch In India
Motorola has updated many of its devices over the course of past two weeks. These include Oreo 8.0 update for the Verizon Moto Z2 Force and Moto X4 (both Android One and Standard editions), and a security patch update for the Moto G5 and G5 Plus. Joining the league now is the Moto G4 Plus, which is now receiving the December 2017 security update as promised by Motorola under its quarterly security patch scheme.
The update comes in with the build number NPJS25.93-14-13 and jumps up the security level of the device to 1st December 2017. This is just a security update which might have some bug fixes too (bug fixes aren't mentioned in the release notes though).

This isn't a big update and weighs just 36MB. It's worth noting here that this patch also updates the bootloader version of the device (if you are using a custom ROM on your G4 Plus, you may want to update the firmware). The update has started to roll out in India and it's a wide rollout, so if you haven't received the update notification yet, try checking for it manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates.
