[UPDATE: New Hotfix Build] OnePlus 5 Gets OxygenOS Open Beta 3 With Face Unlock, December Security Patch & More

Apparently this build had issues with third party camera applications. In the light of this issue, OnePlus has released a hotfix build. This new build irons out the aforementioned issue. The hotfix build will be rolling out later, but for the time being the build has been uploaded to OnePlus' website. You can get the build from here. This is still the Open Beta 3, that is, there is no change to the build number.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei promised on Christmas to bring the 5T's face unlock to the OP5 and OnePlus has done that with the latest OxygenOS Open Beta build. OnePlus released the third Open Beta build for the OP5 yesterday and this build includes face unlock, December security patch, app shortcut for the recorder application and bug fixes. 

Here's a rundown of the changes in this build:

• Recorder
  • Added app shortcut on Launcher
• System
  • Added Face Unlock 
  • Optimizations for vibration
  • Fixed connection issue of 5G Wi-Fi
  • General bug fixes and improvements
  • Updated Android security patch to December
