HMD Is Rolling Out Oreo 8.1 To Nokia 8
Ever since HMD took over the reigns of Nokia, the 'Nokia' brand has had a resurrection. One of the reasons for Nokia's comeback has been timely software updates. HMD Global has delivered monthly security patches to each of the Android devices its has released. It's not just security patches, HMD has also regularly bumped the Android version number on the Nokia devices. Out of the seven devices HMD has released over the past year (all of which were released with Nougat), five have already been updated to Oreo.
The Nokia 8 received its Oreo 8.0 update in November, and last month HMD started testing Android 8.1 for it. Oreo 8.1 is now out of beta for the Nokia 8, and the stable update is currently being rolled out.

The update is over one and a half gigabytes in size, and has the build number 00WW_4_84A. Oreo 8.1 for the Nokia 8 includes an overhauled power menu, redesigned Settings menu, ability to view battery percentage of connected Bluetooth device, and the February security patch.
