OnePlus brought the feature to the beta channel of OxygenOS with Open Beta 3 last month and now the feature is being extended to every OnePlus 5 user through the stable update of OxygenOS 5.0.2.
Aside from face unlock, this update of OxygenOS includes enhancements for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for video recording, a CPU security patch, and updates to several system application. Here's the changelog:

General bug fixes and improvements

Updated Gallery to v2.0
Updated Weather to v1.9
Updated File Manager to v1.7.6

As always, the update notification will take awhile to show up on your device. You can try using OperaVPN (APK | Play Store) and change the country to Canada or Germany. Several users on the OnePlus forums claimed to have got the update notification instantly after using OperaVPN. You can also use the files linked below to manually update your device.
