Samsung Releases Oreo 8.0 For Galaxy S8/S8+
Samsung has started rolling out Android Oreo 8.0 to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ (both Exynos and Snapdragon variants). The update is being rolled out in the form of Experience UI 9.0, which is Samsung's highly skinned (or modified) version of Android.
The update comes with an interesting build number G955XXU1CRAP and weighs 487MB in size.
The update also comprises of the latest February security patch. Sadly though, there is no support for Project Treble. The lack of support for Treble is because of the absence of the vendor partition.
According to the users on Reddit, the update is currently rolling out in the countries of Poland, India and Germany. The update roll out will expand to more regions in the coming days. You will see an update notification when the OTA update is available for your device. The beta testers will be among the first to get the update.
Samsung's Experience UI 9.0 comprises of various new features. The inforgraphic below illustrates the same.
