Nokia 5 & Nokia 6 Getting March Security Patch

Google started rolling out the March security patch to the Nexus and Pixel devices on Monday. Just like Google, HMD Global also updates all it's devices with security patches every month. The Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are now getting the security update for this month.

Both the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are getting the March 1 security update. The update size for Nokia 6 is 132MB and it has the build number 00WW_5_22A_SP01.

The update size for Nokia 5 is only a hair over that of the Nokia 6. The March security patch comes in a package of 132.3MB for the Nokia 5.

Since these updates are being rolled out over-the-air, they may take some time to show up on your device. You will be alerted by a notification when then the OTA update is available for your device. You can also check for the update manually by heading over to Settings > System > System update.
