Moto G6 & G6 Play India Launch Scheduled For June 4

Motorola announced the G6 and E5 smartphones last month in Brazil. The Lenovo-owned company has now revealed that it will be launching the sixth generation G-series smartphones in India on Monday, June 4. Currently, there is no information available about the launch of the E5 smartphones in India.

Motorola's G6 smartphones come in three variants - Play, Standard, and Plus. At its launch event in Brazil, Motorola had said that it will not be bringing the Plus variant to those countries where the Moto X4 is available, and the X4 was launched in India in November. The Moto G5 Plus and G5S Plus from last year were among the best selling Motorola smartphones in the country. We, therefore, expected that the G6 Plus would make its way to India. That, however, won't be happening. Motorola will only be launching the Play variant and the standard G6 in the country.

The Moto G6 will be sold through Amazon and the G6 Play will be available online via Flipkart. Both the smartphones will also be available offline through Moto Hub stores. The G6 Play and G6 are expected to be priced at Rs 13,000 and Rs 16,000 respectively.
