In addition to security improvements, the July security update also comprises of fixes for Android Auto. The build number for the update is OPM1.180104.267.
We're also rolling out a new Android P Beta build that includes July security patches, the latest Google Code Drop and improvements to Android Auto.— Essential (@essential) July 2, 2018
The Android P Beta 2 for the Essential PH-1 is the same as DP4 for the Pixel smartphones. Therefore, all the new features and changes present in DP4 are included in Beta 2 too. And like the stable update, the July security patch and Android Auto fixes are present in the P beta too. Android P DP4 for the Pixel phones comes with the June security patch.
Both the stable July security update and Beta 2 are currently rolling out to stable Oreo 8.1 and Android P users respectively. You can try pulling the update manually if you haven't got it yet. The flashable files for the stable and beta updates are linked below.
