At its 'Open Ears Forums' held two weeks ago in Humburg, OnePlus committed to improving the camera on its yesteryear flagships, the OP5 and the OP5T. The promises included better support for third-party camera apps and optimizations to reduce the oil painting effect. While support for external camera apps is yet to be improved, OnePlus has been working on eliminating the oil painting effect. OxygenOS Open Beta 12/10 (for OP5/5T) were the first builds from the company that reduced the effect and the new betas released by OnePlus today include further "optimizations to reduce the oil painting effect".
Additionally, there is support for Google Lens in the stock camera application and the photo clarity has also been improved. The changelog for the latest Open Betas is given below.
Changelog
Camera
• Improved photo clarity and optimizations to reduce oil painting effect
• Supported Google Lens mode
As usual, existing beta users will be getting an update to the new beta builds and OnePlus will be posting the flashable files for the same on its download portal. At the time of writing this article, the downloads for the Open Betas hadn't gone live. However, we do have the official download links for the new beta builds. You can make use of the links given below or use Oxygen Updater and grab the builds from there.
