Motorola One And Motorola One Power Are Now Official, Will Be On Sale In India Starting October
With all the rumors and leaks surrounding this new family from Motorola, today, finally, the company has announced the Motorola One and the Motorola One Power. These two new devices from Motorola join the Android One program. These are the second set of Android One devices. The Android One program has gained a lot of popularity in India and Motorola is chiming on it like other OEMs. Another area where Motorola is catching up is 'notches'. Yes, both the new Motorola phones have notches.
Here are the words from the company-
We’ve added two new smartphones to the Motorola family – motorola one and motorola one power. These Android One smartphones give you the Android experience you love, three years of security updates and let you do more with a smart camera thanks to Google a for you.
Motorola has had a bad record when it comes to updating existing devices. Take for example that the Moto G4/Plus and the Moto G5/Plus are yet to be updated to Oreo. The Motorola One and the Motorola One Power will receive more frequent, faster and longer updates than other Motorola devices. All this is because the new phones are Android One devices. Motorola has promised that the devices will launch with Android Oreo and will get Android Pie and Android Q as the major updates and 3 years worth of monthly security updates.

On the specification sheet, the new Motorola phones look good enough. However, we have to keep in mind that POCO F1's pricing is a major problem for OEMs now which are eyeing on releasing devices around Rs 20,000 in India. Motorola has mentioned €299 as the price for the Motorola One and for the biggie, the Motorola One Power, we don't have any info on the pricing, yet. The Motorola One will be available in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific countries. The Motorola One Power has been mentioned to be sold only in India. The device will go on sale in October. Motorola will have to price the One Power aggressively if it plans to compete with the budget flagship, the POCO F1.
