OxygenOS 5.1.5 Rolling Out To OnePlus 5/5T With Project Treble Support, August Security Patch & More
OnePlus began rolling out OxygenOS 5.1.5 to the OnePlus 5/5T a few hours back. The update changelog mentions only two changes: August security patch and confirm PIN without tapping on the checkmark button. The changes are quite small, so one expects the update size not to be beyond a few megabytes. As it turns out, the update size is over 1.6GB, in fact. This made snoopy OnePlus 5/5T users doubt that there are under-the-hood changes which OnePlus hasn't mentioned.

Out of all the changes, the inclusion of support for Treble is clearly the biggest one. Interestingly, though, OnePlus didn't feel the need to mention this. We have added Treble support to the official changelog. Here is what the official changelog for OxygenOS 5.1.5 should have been:
Changelog
› Support for Project Treble
› Updated Android security patch to 2018.8
› Confirm PIN without tapping √ to unlock the phone (Settings -> Security & lock screen -> Screen lock -> PIN)
OxygenOS 5.1.5 is currently rolling out to all the OnePlus 5/5T users running the stable version of OxygenOS. You might have to wait for some time for the update to show up, but you can always use the VPN method to get the update. OnePlus is yet to post the download files for the update. If you refuse to wait, you can use Oxygen Updater to download the full ROM ZIP of OxygenOS 5.1.5.
