Xiaomi's Mi A2 Is Now Receiving September 2018 Security Update
September security updates are on roll now as Pixel, Nexus devices and Essential PH-1 are getting it. Joining the league, the Mi A2, one of the recent Android One devices, is now receiving the same security patch. Several vulnerabilities are fixed under this update and it is recommended to install it to enhance the security of the device.
The update size is 350MB and will bump up the security level of the device to September 2018. It's worth noting here that while Xiaomi's Mi A1 receives security updates a couple of weeks later than the Pixel and Nexus devices, the Mi A2 got it in a matter of days. We hope Xiaomi rolls out security updates just as quickly in the future.
The update is currently rolling out and some of you might have gotten it already. It is recommended to have atleast 50% of the battery charged when you install this update. If you have got the OTA, well and good, if not, you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates.
