POCO F1 Can Now Be Purchased Offline From Mi Home
Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO was supposed to be an online-only brand, but in a surprise move, POCO India's General Manager, Manmohan Chandolu, has announced the offline availability of the POCO F1. The POCO F1 can now be purchased via Xiaomi's brick and mortar Mi Home stores. In addition, the device will be available at Xiaomi's partner retail outlets starting October 17, Wednesday.
Talking about the move to offline, Chandolu said, "This is a truly defining moment for us as we witness the growth of our brand, and seek to explore newer horizons in the vast offline segment of our market. Following the launch of Poco F1, we received (a) commendable response from our customers towards the Master of Speed. We look forward to reaching out to the wider section of the Indian consumers who are majorly offline based, and can now easily access our devices while enjoying the power of incredible speed matched with the ultimate performance at an irresistible price."
The POCO F1 could previously only be purchased through flash sales on Flipkart and Mi.com. POCO F1's offline availability hints that Xiaomi has ramped up the production of the device so that it is more readily accessible. The 6GB+128GB variant of the smartphone was recently dropped from flash sales. With the F1 being available for purchase through retail stores now, other models of the smartphone will soon be available round the clock.
If you choose to buy the F1 offline, you will have to shell out more money than what the phone costs online. Xiaomi attributes the additional cost to "retail operational cost." At the time of writing this article, the pricing wasn't available. We will update this post when we obtain the pricing.
