Netflix has removed its Basic ad-free plan, which was the cheapest ad-free option available at $10/€5 a month. The streamer introduced an ad-supported plan in 2022, which costs $7/CAD 6/GBP 5/EUR 6. Multiple users on Reddit have reported receiving notifications that their Basic plan is ending and they need to choose a new one – the cheaper ad-supported plan or one of the two other ad-free plans, the $15.50 FHD and $23.00 4K options.

The ad-supported plan has proven to be quite popular, with 40 million subscribers already. However, it's not available in all markets yet. One thing to note is that some TV shows and movies are not available on the ad-supported tier due to licensing restrictions. Ads are not shown on Kids profiles, though, and Netflix Games doesn't have ads either.

You can check this page to see what plans are available in your country and how much they cost (use the dropdown to switch between countries). Right now, the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Australia, and others no longer list the Basic plan.
